Seven Mad Bulls won regional titles at the Regionals in Milford. Koy Price won his fourth straight regional crown.

It was a day that featured some  tough local competition that had the top four place winners in each weight class advancing to the “State Open Sweet 16” to be held on Sunday.

“Like every other club out there in the dead of winter we’ve been hit with some cold and flu-like symptoms with half of the squad being hit with something this year, we just wanted to have a solid day with all of this preparation work leading to the states, it’s more about staying healthy, focused and practicing with a purpose every single day, and we accomplished that team goal today,'' said program director Randy Haus

Leading the Mad Bull squad in Milford was four time regional winner Price as well as seasoned veterans Artie Cocchia, Jason Singer, Nemo Harris, Zavier Hernandez with newcomers Nick Fatone and Phoenix Gardella winning the regional championship in their first year of competition.

Additional qualifiers were Sam White, Justin Gierum, Jacob Gonzales, Dean Tsiranides, Jeff Cocchia, Brendan Gilchrist, Tyler Monoco, Hunter Monoco, Jaylen Carter, Mike Bartush, Charlie Prather, Ryan Gilchrist, Nick Augeri, Terry Brannigan, Eamon Brannigan, Mikhail Moss, Holden Zerega, Doug Cahill, James Wise, and Asaiah Baez.

The Mad Bull coaching staff noted outstanding performances by James Motley, Calli Gilchrist, Mike Schneider, Marianna Hernandez, Jack Cahill, Noah Fraas, Aiden Donohue, Robert Gierum, Anthony Marini, Elijah Murphy, Brian Mallozzi, Conner Gilchrist and JT Schneider, who failed to qualify but wrestled extremely well for the Mad Bulls and look forward to next year.
