Norwalk Lightfoot Runners Honor Late Sean Fogarty

NORWALK, Conn. – Runners and organizers of the Norwalk Lightfoot Running Club took a moment to remember one of its longtime participants, Sean Fogarty of Stamford, before the start of Saturday's 11-mile race .

Lightfoot race director Don Capone said the race was dedicated in Fogarty's memory, who died suddenly earlier this week. Capone led the race competitors in a moment of silence before the starting horn.

"A longtime Lightfoot member, Sean Fogarty touched and inspired so many of us in the local running community. Sean came to every race with a smile and plenty of encouragement for his fellow runners, both new and not-so-new," Capone said in a statement. "His enthusiasm for the sport and the people in it embody the spirit of the Lightfoot Running Club, and we are honored to dedicate the 11-mile race in his memory."

At Saturday morning's race, Capone added, "We'll really miss him, especially out here, because he ran every race imaginable."
