Norwalk Hockey Player Heads To All-Star Game

NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk hockey player A.J. Bella is headed to Rhode Island this Sunday for an all-star game at Brown University.

Bella just turned 16 and is a sophomore at Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk. He plays for the Connecticut Oilers Hockey Club out of the SoNo Ice House. He plays forward and is the leading scorer for the Oiler 16 U National Team.

This Sunday Bella will represent the Connecticut Oilers in the 16 U Eastern Junior Elite Prospect League All-Star Game at Brown University in Providence. He will play for the white team, coached by Brett Clouthier, Wayne Cerzullo and Bud Buonato. The theme of the day, which also includes an 18 U game, is college. There will be a college seminar on the recruitment process, hosted by Brown University Head Coach Brendan Whittet, and many college scouts are expected to be in attendance.

The game begins at 10:15 a.m. Sunday and will be telecast on the Fast Hockey network.
