Norwalk High School Cheerleaders Win First In Fciac Competition

NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk High School cheerleaders won the coed division at the recent Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference championships.

The Norwalk High School Cheerleading team won the coed title at the recent FCIAC Championships, the first cheerleading title for the Bears.

It was the first league title in cheerleading for the Bears. Wilton High School hosted the competition.

Senior captain Jordyn Lewis was named to the All-FCIAC team. The Norwalk coaching staff, which includes head coach Anthony Munoz and assistant coaches Amanda Sirois and Jay Ruffin, was named the Coach of the Year.

Norwalk's team is Jordyn Lewis, Shannon Huzina, Sabastian Longo, Emily Dougherty, Julia Dolphin, Breana Ramsay, Liam Bleakley, Mikayla Lewis, Kayla Light, Nia Harrington, Paige Chen, Brianna Johnson, Shaniyia Daley, Rayna Aguiar, Sahmra Sawyer, Serenity Saunders, Kori Russell and Stephanie Corrales.
