Norwalk Grad Starts Baseball Season Strong At Southern Connecticut

NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk's Rocco Cundari has earned a 2-1 record with Southern Connecticut State University's baseball team.

The right-handed pitcher has made five appearances and has earned one save, SCSU representatives said in a release. Team officials said Cundari "has started his senior season with numerous strong outings," according to the release. 

The Brien McMahon High School product threw nine shutout innings, scattering six hits and striking out seven in the Owls' 1-0 Northeast-10 Conference win against New Haven on April 2, according to the release. 

Cundari has a 0.87 ERA, which is fourth lowest in the NE-10 and 13th best in Division II. Opponents are hitting .221 against the senior, who was named to the Northeast-10 Conference weekly honor roll on Tuesday, April 8.
