Norwalk Girls Softball Team Caps Off Successful Season With Tournament Win

NORWALK, Conn. — The Tucci Elite 14U Girls Softball team finished their season a high note by winning the Fairfield County Fastpitch Softball Tournament this past weekend over the Newtown Thunder, 12-5.

Other season highlights for the team include first place finishes at the Adirondack State Tournament in Lake George, N.Y., and the Summer Slam in East Hartford.

The girls also competed in an older age group at the 16U CT State USSSA Championships and finished third. They also cam in third in the Knights of Columbus Charity Tournament in Orangeburg, N.Y., and third in the Hurricane on the Hill, in Meriden.

They also qualified for the 14U USSSA Nationals World Series in Maryland, and competed against some of the best programs in the country.

Tryouts for the 2017-18 season will be on Aug. 4 and 5. Preregister at https://tuccielitesoftball.com .
