NORWALK, Conn. – The Norwalk Packers fourth-grade football team meets Hartford Sunday for the American Youth Football state championship. Kickoff is set for 9 a.m. at Falcon Field in Meriden.
The state winner advances to the New England championship Nov. 25 in Providence, R.I. The New England winner is eligible for the AYF national championship in Florida in December.
Norwalk (9-1) advanced to the state game by beating Bridgeport, 7-0, in the Colonial League’s championship game. Nemo Harris scored the game’s only touchdown on a 24-yard run in the third quarter.
