Norwalk Football Players Help All-Star Team Top Philadelphia

NORWALK, Conn. – Players from the Norwalk Packers represented the American Youth Football Colonial League All-Stars in a game against Philadelphia. The Norwalk eighth-grade players helped the Colonial All-Stars post a 19-6 victory in a game played at Temple University.

Evan Henry, Renn Lints, Jeremiah Harris and Levaughn Lewis represented Norwalk. Norwalk’s Mike DiIorio missed the game with an illness.

Lewis and Henry played well on defense for the Colonial All-Stars, who built a 6-0 halftime lead.

Philadelphia tied the game in the second half, but Henry sparked the Colonial All-Stars in the second half. His forced fumble and long return set up a touchdown. Lints, playing quarterback, threw a touchdown pass on a short slant to put the Colonial team ahead for good.

Harris provided yardage rushing and receiving. Colonial put the game away in the fourth quarter when Lints hit a receiver on a trick play for a 65-yard touchdown.
