Norwalk Field Hockey Blanks McMahon

NORWALK, Conn. – Katie Schmidt and Christine Mace scored goals as Norwalk’s field hockey team defeated Brien McMahon, 2-0, Tuesday in a Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference game.

Schmidt also had an assist for the Bears, now 12-1-1 overall and 10-2-1 in the FCIAC. Goalie Shannon O’Malley made three saves, while Lily DeRossi stopped eight shots for McMahon (6-6-3, 4-6-2).

Norwalk is currently seeded third for the upcoming league playoffs, which began Saturday at Brien McMahon.
