Norwalk Boys Help Team Win State Hockey Title

NORWALK, Conn. – Nathaniel Gordon and Jack Feinstein of Norwalk played for the Wonderland Wizards Pee Wee A youth hockey team that won the state championship Monday in Newington

Both boys play defense for the Wizards, who won the championship with a 4-1 victory against East Haven. The team beat Simsbury, 4-0, in the semifinals. It also beat Central Connecticut, 5-3, New Canaan, 4-1, and Greenwich, 5-1 en route to the title. They also tied the Connecticut Riverhawks, 2-2.

The Wizards have a record of 62-9 this season, which began in August. They are 17-0-1 in the Connecticut Hockey Conference and are coached by Carl Larouche.

The Norwalk boys have been skating together since they were 6 years old. Nathaniel is 13, and Jack is 12.

The state championship victory sends the Wizards to the national tournament in Virginia later on in March. They play out of the Wonderland of Ice in Bridgeport.
