Norwalk Boy Wins Track Medals At Nutmeg Games

NORWALK, Conn. – Sebastian Correa of Norwalk took home a gold and a silver medal in track at the 2012 Nutmeg State Games held in New Britain this past weekend.

Correa, 13, won gold in the 13-14-year-old 100-meter dash, finishing with a time of 13.29 seconds. He grabbed the silver medal in the 13-14-year-old 200-meter dash, finishing in 28.36 seconds.

This was the fifth year in a row that Correa competed in the Nutmeg State Games.

More than 6,000 youth athletes ages six to 18 participated in 25 different sports at 24th annual the Nutmeg State Games.
