NORWALK, Conn. ‒ Zeus Swim Team of Norwalk sent nine Senior Elite Swimmers to the Super Sectionals Championships this past weekend in Buffalo. It was Norwalk's largest representation ever in the meet, which is conducted by Eastern Zone Swimming.

Zeus swimmers included Anthony Dell’Isolla, Nick Wargo, Lauren Czulewicz, Eddie Donovan, Stephanie Czulewicz, Olivia Haskell, Katie Wargo, Paige Delago and Andres Ramos.

Stephanie Czulewicz was the only sectionals veteran of the group. She qualified for the meet last year. Coaches Omar Cruz and Dennis Flores accompanied the swimmers to Buffalo.

There were more than 875 swimmers in each session, the largest ever because it's an Olympic year, and most were college students. Those who did not qualify for the Olympics competed in the meet.

Although no Zeus swimmers reached the finals, several had impressive performances. Nick Wargo moved up 23 places from his seed in the 200 freestyle, Stephanie Czulewicz moved up six places in the 200 backstroke and Anthony Dell'Isola moved up 31 places in the 1500 freestyle.
