NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk-based Connecticut Boat Club rowers tuned up for the upcoming spring season with 18 girls posting their personal records on indoor equipment last week at the Connecticut State Indoor Championships in Easton.
The team had 26 girls participate in the indoor competition, which included 32 clubs from six states. CBC rowers won a gold, a silver and bronze in the event.
“For many athletes, this was their first indoor competition and they did an amazing job,’’ coach Liz Trond said.
The team will head to the C.R.A.S.H.-B Sprints, a world indoor regatta, on Feb. 17 at Boston University’s Agganis Arena. CBC’s first spring competition is the San Diego Crew Classic beginning April 4. More information on the team is available on its website.
