Norwalk Athletic Association Softball Results

NORWALK, Conn. – Results from recent games in Norwalk Athletic Association softball:

Rob Cardini Foundation Falcons vs. Patchen Auto Parts Orioles: The Falcons played their best game of the season with a true team effort. Jessica Trujillo and Jessica Good each had three hits. Lucia Rascionato hit safely for a second straight game with two hits.

PAL Wildcats vs.  Bandits: The Norwalk PAL Wildcats had an excellent defensive game against the Bandits. Mia Lanzurotto and Emily Guzman pitched outstanding for the Norwalk team. Samantha Pierre had a stellar defensive game at first base. The Wildcat offensive was lead by Erica Giglio with two singles; and Carsyn Langhorn, Lila Young, Carly DeMichael, Mia Lanzurotto, Audrey Art-Leonard and Emily Guzman, each with a single apiece.

Norwalk PAL Wildcats vs. Uncle Joe’s Saints: The Norwalk PAL Wildcats had an exciting game in the rain against the Saints. Erica Giglio and Mia Lanzurotto were on the mound for the Wildcats, and both pitched well. The Wildcat offensive was lead by Carsyn Langhorn, Dylan Ackerman, Erica Giglio, Benni Tucci, Mia Lanzurotto, Morgan Veltri and Emily Guzman. The entire team played well defensively.

Rex Marina Bears vs. Patchen Auto Parts Orioles: The Bears were undermanned but played their hearts out. Emily DiCostanzo, Jenifer Haller and Kyra Lynn pitched well. Some terrific plays on the field were made by Riley Finn, Sophie Jones and Emily Pollard, while Meredith McDonald and Delia Jordanides led the hit parade.

Giglio Electric Sting vs New England Oil Hawks: Isabella Arvanitis and Bianca Cave pitched for the Sting. Isabella Brousseau and Jordan Brown had two hits apiece. Daniella DiBlasio and Alexa Ross-Paul each had a hit.

Rex Marina Bears vs. Rob Cardini Foundation Falcons: The Rex Marina Bears played in a nail-biter of a game. The game included fine pitching in the first inning by Emily DiCostanzo, who had three strikeouts. Also great pitching in the third inning by Jennifer Haller, who also was involved in a double play, catching a pop fly and then throwing it to Meredith McDonald at third base. The team was lead by Katelyn Greco, Kyra Lynn and Isabella Bardos with terrific hitting.

Rex Marina Bears vs. Hawks, Rex Marina Bears vs. Bandits: The Bears played in two outstanding back-to-back games. Isabel Anbar, Sophie Jones and Emily Pollard walked multiple times. Outstanding defensive plays were made by Ashley Wilson, Emily DiCostanzo, Katelyn Greco and Delia Jordanides. Pitchers Katelyn Greco, Emily DiCostanzo, Kaitlyn Belinsky, Jennifer Haller and Kyra Lynn played well, while Meredith McDonald, Isabella Bardos and Riley Finn powered the offense.
