NORWALK, Conn. – The Norwalk Girls Basketball Association sixth grade team won its division of the Fairfield County Basketball League tournament with a 28-26 win over Newtown in the championship game.
Norwalk finished the season with a 24-1 record, with its only loss to a seventh-grade girls team from St. Mary’s of Ridgefield. The Norwalk girls won tournaments in Ridgefield and Chappaqua, N.Y., during a terrific regular season.
Norwalk’s roster consists of Aija Andrews, Sanaa Boyd, Kaitlyn Covello, Kaitlyn Davis, Olivia Davis, Tamia Fulton, Janelle Johnson, Sawyer Milillo, Jocelyn Mullins, Michelle Perea and Ashley Wilson. Norwalk is coached by Ricky Fulton.
