Norwalk's McMahon Ranks In Top 20 In MaxPreps' Football Rankings

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- New Canaan remains ranked No. 1 in Connecticut by MaxPreps and Darien is third as the high school football season gets ready to hit the stretch drive.

The Rams and Blue Wave (both 9-0) won big league last week. New Canaan beat Wilton, 47-7, while the Blue Wave crushed Harding, 42-14.

Fairfield Prep (7-2, seventh) is also among the state’s top 10. Greenwich (6-3), which has won six straight games, is 15th in the state rankings, while Brien McMahon (7-1) is ranked 17th.

Danbury (7-2) is ranked 29th, and faces an important game Saturday when it travels to Greenwich. Brien McMahon also faces a key contest as the Senators meet St. Joseph on Saturday in Trumbull. The Cadets (7-2) are ranked sixth in the state, and its two losses have come to Darien and New Canaan.
