New Canaan Country School Takes 2nd Place In Varsity Basketball Tourney

GREENWICH, Conn. – New Canaan Country School’s boys’ varsity basketball team took second place recently while competing in an annual tournament in Greenwich, according to a statement from the school.

The school on Frogtown Road in New Canaan educates students in pre-school through ninth grade. According to the school's statement, its athletics program starts in the lower grades and continues by offering students in the middle- and upper-grades team-based activities in 13 sports.

“We are very proud of the boys for how hard they played all weekend,” Coach Stefan Borowski said after the second-place finish on Jan. 21. “They displayed great team basketball and individual skill throughout.”
