NORWALK, Conn. Brien McMahon senior Shelly Lindo won two events and Sarah Boyd took another to lead the Senators to a fourth-place finish in the Class LL track and field championships Wednesday at Manchester High School.
Lindo won the 100 in 12.24 and the 200 in 25.2. She also finished third in the 100-meter hurdles.
Boyd took second in the 100, won the 100 hurdles and was third in the 300 hurdles.
Crystle Hill of Norwalk High took third in the 100, and Tamia Taylor of Norwalk was eighth.
In boys events, Darkym Stroud was seventh in the 200, and Shnyden Pierre was fifth in the 400. Chris Madaffari added a fifth-place finish in the 3,200. The Senators were also fifth in the 4 x 100 relay with Tavon Kinder, Alexander Louis, Pierre and Stroud. Louis was also fifth in the triple jump.
The top athletes will compete in the State Open on Monday at Willowbrook Park. Complete results of Wednesdays meet are available online.
