Kings Highway Kids Come Out on Top

The Kings Highway Panthers recently defeated the Norwalk Stars in 10 & Under Junior USTA team tennis action, with a final score of 21-7.

Team members fought hard for each win in their respective singles category. Connor Flanagan of New Canaan seized every opportunity, defeating his opponent 4-0. Greyson Etheredge of Darien took the match by storm and used his excellent skills to overpower his opponent, 4-0. Ernst Bruno of Darien also secured a victory for his team with a final score of 4-0. Folke Bruno played his best and gave a great effort, but lost 1-4.

Willem Schuddeboom and Jack Gabriel, both from Darien, played a tough doubles match, winning 4-3. George Kroll and Marshall Bessey, also from Darien, came out on top in doubles action, 4-0.

The Kings Highway 12 & Under Junior USTA Team defeated the Fairfield Net Crashers with a final winning score of 61-48.

Rory Sandison won a hard-fought match 4-2, 4-3. Max DeBeradinis won his singles match 4-2, 4-1. Edward Glassmeyer also took home a 4-2, 4-1 victory. Jack Mozingo of Darien played an excellent match, with final scores of 4-3, 1-4, 1-0. Stella Silver of Norwalk and Nicholas Tallis of Darien also played singles and fought hard for the team.

Glassmeyer and Sandison, both from Darien, won their doubles match with a final score of 4-1, 4-0. Also playing doubles, Max DeBeradinis and Abbie Mueller, both from Darien, defeated their opponents, 4-3, 4-2. Abbie Mueller and Stella Silver played and lost a close match, which was competitive until the very last moment, 4-3, 3-4, 0-1.
