Fairfield Team Stays Unbeaten in Senior Baseball

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The defending champion Fairfield Mariners improved to 5-0 last week with a 9-3 win over the Bridgeport Dodgers in the Fairfield County Men's Senior Baseball League.

The Mariners meet the Trumbull Titans in a doubleheader Sunday at Madison Middle School in Trumbull, beginning at 9 a.m. Rich Lee is 3-0 on the mound for the Mariners.

The Bridgeport Brewers (7-2) own the league lead after taking a doubleheader last Sunday from Westport, 3-1 and 7-4. Chris Hannon pitched well for the Cardinals in the opener in taking the loss.

The New Canaan Cannons, coming off a 7-2 loss to Monroe, meet the Stamford Phillies in a doubleheader Sunday at Cubeta Stadium, beginning at 9 a.m.
