NORWALK, Conn. Players in the Cranbury Baseball league competed in a Pitch, Hit and Run competition Monday at Tim Devine Field.
Players competed in different age divisions. They threw balls at a strike zone target, hit baseballs off a tee for distance and accuracy and were timed running from second base to home plate.
The event was sponsored by Aquafina and Major League Baseball. Winners of the local competition advance to a sectional competition this weekend in Stamford.
The competition capped a busy day for the Cranbury ballplayers, who also marched in Norwalks Memorial Day parade. Afterwards, players and their families gathered for a cookout at Devine Field and to participate in Pitch, Hit and Run. Unilock sponsored the picnic at the Pitch, Hit and Run.
