The Norwalk Junior Soccer Association under-10 Blue Devils defeated Wilton, 2-1, to improve to 5-0 in the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association.
Liam Willkher, Connor Belcastro, Brendan Duddy, Edward Boccanfuso, Evan Guerrera and Kristo Boci led the offense in the first half. A tight defense in the first half by Norwalk's Eduardo Vargas, Jonathon Jimenez, Altair Marin, Jeffery Ramirez and Christian Gavrielidis, and the quick hands of goalkeeper Marcus Blair, kept Wilton from scoring.
Jimenez scored in the first half. Wilton tied it in the second half, and Norwalk answered minutes later on a goal by Connor Belcastro. Guerrera played well in goal in the second half for Norwalk.
The Blue Devils are 5-0 for the league's season, with wins against Stamford Gold, Ridgefield Dynamos, Ridgefield Colts, Old Greenwich White and Wilton White. Sunday's game solidified the top spot in their division in the CJSA Southwest Division. The Blue Devils meet Newtown Blue on Sunday at Cranbury School.
