The All-FCIAC baseball First Team has been announced by the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference. Behind the strength of its third conference championship in four years, Staples High School placed five players on the team, the most of any school. The Wreckers rode the arm of ace pitcher Rob Gau to the conference title over Danbury. The Hatters exacted revenge on Staples in the Class LL state tournament, however, eliminating the Wreckers in the quarterfinals.
