NORWALK, Conn. -- Two teams from the Norwalk Packers cheerleading team successfully defended their national championships over the weekend in Kissimmee, Fla.
The Packers 10-and-under and 13-and-under team won titles in the American Youth Football National Cheer and Dance championships. The teams headed back to Norwalk by bus and were expected to arrive in town Monday night.
The girls on the U10 team are E'yjah Bledsoe, Morgan Carroll, Jordyn Dixon, Grace Fatone, Damaris Flores, Ava Greco, Ashley Johnson, Jordyn Kidd, Jillian Limone, Sadi Mantel-Sharkey, Rosie Marshall, Josie Marshall, Olivia Moses, Grace Papadakos, Sharon Parrish, Rebeca Rodriguez, Victoria Rupar, Courtney Sharkey, Sara Spielman, Claudia Stuart, Diamond Taylor, Aniyah Taylor, Iyanni Valentine and Da'Nasia Watson. Coaches are Wehmhoff assisted by Kelly Johnson, Anne Asta, Nadine Moses and Krystal Rupar.
Girls on the 13-year-old team are Evelyn Barragan, Angelina Castillo, Xenia Coleman, Frankie Anne DeLeo, Caroline Desmonts, Kira Diaz, Daniella DiBlasio, Lily Fosella, Summer Hall, Brianna Johnson, Gracen King, Anna Korytnyuk, Mikayla Lewis, Landon Matkins, Jacqueline Moses, Sydney Mouzon, Shelby Oak, Jessica Pia, Michelle Porcheddu, Daisy Restrepo, Shanti Ruffin, Damiana Tuck, Leah Washburn and Amanda Wasserman. Asta is the head coach assisted by Kelcie Wehmhoff, Alyssa Aguiar, Cori Iannazzo and Charlette Lewis.
The teams advanced by winning New England competitions last month.
