The book drive was in conjunction with the YWCA Darien/Norwalk’s toddler book fair. All of the books collected throughout the event were used in a pilot program run by Books2Connect.

On Jan. 21, the Family Room at Brookside Elementary School opened. The new Family Room has tablets, job resources, coffee, books, toys, and computers for use. The goal behind the Family Room is to bring parents and children together.

All of the books in the room were provided by Books2Connect.

Parents are able to take the free books home with them as well. The books in the center are restocked on a regular basis to give residents a variety.
