“Dan has given so much already to our children, schools and community. He has a keen understanding of how the Board of Education works and will be a valuable addition to that team,” said Britta Lerner, Chair, Weston RTC.

Dan will be filling a seat vacated by Nina Daniel who is a candidate for First Selectman. Dan joined the Weston community in 2006 when he took a second grade teaching position at Hurlbutt Elementary School, eventually serving as grade two team leader. Dan has also served on several district wide committees including those responsible for creating our new teacher supervision and evaluation plan and rewriting our social studies curriculum.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Fairfield University. Dan served two terms as PTO President at the Hurlbutt Elementary School.

“Throughout my career in education I have consistently sought out opportunities to positively impact our schools and the educational experience of our children. I am both honored and grateful to have been appointed to fill Nina Daniel's seat on the Weston Board of Education. I look forward to using my experiences as a teacher, teacher leader, parent and PTO President to add a unique perspective to the Board of Education as we work toward consistently improving the Weston Public Schools in a fiscally responsible manner,” Dan said.

Dan is CEO of 203 Retail LLC, which is an eCommerce business located in Norwalk that sells toys, games and baby products on Amazon.com. In addition, he owns The White Door Toy Store in Norwalk. He will be on the ballot for election to the Weston Board of Education at the municipal elections on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
