Over 120 people were killed and over 200 injured in the attacks.

There are 12 undergraduate students and a teacher in Paris for a study abroad program, as well as a UConn graduate student, as well as four UConn students on vacation in Paris, UConn spokeswoman Stephanie Reitz told NBC.

It's unknown whether any other Connecticut colleges have students in Paris.

A Westport resident who is studying abroad in Paris as part of a Marist College program is safe after the terror attacks, she said in an interview broadcast on WFSB Channel 3.

"One of the attacks was near me, but all of my Marist colleagues and I are safe," Molly Elliot, a Newtown native, said in the on-air interview.

Elliot and her fellow students live close to the scene of the deadly attacks.

"It's 10 to 15 minutes away walking ... it's very near me," she said. "It's a charming area, It's hard to envision it in such chaos."
