NORWALK, Conn. -- Stamford's Ann P. Rogers was recently named the new executive director of the Norwalk Community College Foundation.
Rogers "brings considerable experience in both the not-for-profit and for-profit worlds," representatives said in a press release. Rogers was recently the vice president of Marketing and Development at Laurel House in Stamford "where she created a development strategy that significantly increased private funding to support individuals and their families coping with mental illness," according to the release.
“We are delighted to welcome Ann Rogers to the NCC Foundation,” said Foundation President Eleanor Riemer in the press release. “She brings considerable experience in both the non-profit and for profit worlds and a unique combination of fundraising, marketing and leadership strengths along with a strategic approach to growth.”
Representatives also noted Rogers community service, which includes membership on the boards of Laurel House in Stamford and Homes with Hope in Westport, and pro bono consulting with the Harvard Business School Club of CT-Community Partners, according to the release.
The Norwalk Community College Foundation is a nonprofit organization that "supports the mission and goals of Norwalk Community College," and helps award more than $1 million in scholarships every year, according to the release.
