Nurse Pinning Ceremony At Norwalk Community College

NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk Community College Division of Nursing and Allied Health will have a pinning ceremony from 4-5 p.m. Wednesday for approximately 30 nursing students who have completed their degree program requirements.

The ceremony is a tradition at which nursing pins are presented to nursing graduation candidates. It represents the symbolic welcoming of newly graduated nurses into the nursing profession. The new nurses are congratulated by the college’s nursing faculty, receive a school pin and participate in a candle-lighting ceremony.
