The clothing drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the Center for Global Studies entrance at Brien McMahon High School.

“The money raised for this event makes a big difference to what we can do for the students,” says Barbara Garelick, co-president of the Parents Club. “Community support is really important and we’re hoping that parents will come out in a big way this fall.”

The clothing drive accepts clothing, coats, belts, handbags, linens, pillows, backpacks, luggage, stuffed animals, boots, shoes, even bicycles and other sporting equipment. “This is the perfect time of year to clean out the closets and the garage,” says Paula Yonkers and Mary Flynn, co-chairs of the drive. “But please remember that all items must be packaged in plastic bags and please keep footwear separate (shoes, boots, sneakers and sandals).”

According to Yonkers and Flynn, “We are also accepting old cell phones, tablets and other electronic devices as part of the school’s Green Fundraiser."

All donations are tax deductible and a receipt will be provided on request during drop-off.
