The Board of Education has been weighing options for dealing with the district’s rapidly growing student population, The Hour reported.

The Hour quoted schools Superintendent Steven Adamowski on the issue of racial balance.

Minority students represent the majority of Norwalk’s students, and, if the Nathaniel Ely School is re-opened, Adamowski said it would need to maintain a certain percentage of white students, according to The Hour’s story.
