In addition to holding in-person Stakeholder Engagement meetings, PROACT Search, the firm chosen by the Norwalk Board of Education to conduct the search, will gather feedback from the community through an online survey. The survey will be open until Tuesday, Feb. 10.

The survey is available in English as well as in Spanish

In addition to community input from the online survey and Stakeholder Engagement meetings, the results of the 2013 Stakeholder Engagement survey will also be considered. Together with the Strategic Plan approved by the Board of Education in 2014, the feedback gathered will serve as the basis for the types of candidates to be recruited for the superintendent post.

The first Stakeholder Engagement meeting will take place as scheduled on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 7 p.m. in the library of Brien McMahon High School.

Two additional meetings at Norwalk High School and Calvary Baptist Church were cancelled earlier this week due to the snowstorm, and will be rescheduled.

James A. Connelly will be the interim superintendent of schools for Norwalk, taking over from current Superintendent Manuel Rivera, who is leaving the position at the end of the week.
