NORWALK, Conn. – Due to the continued cleanup from Hurricane Sandy, Norwalk public schools will be closed again Thursday and Friday.
Interim School Superintend Tony Daddona made the announcement Tuesday. The schools were closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday due to the storm.
As of Tuesday night, 12 of the city’s schools were without power.
Norwalk Mayor Richard Moccia said Wednesday that the city is placing a priority on clearing debris and restoring power to all of the schools to ensure classes will resume Monday.
Brien McMahon High School will be used as an emergency shelter again Wednesday night.
