In fact, frequently the end result is the aid packages they receive still leave families with a very high annual cost to bear.

Fortunately for area residents, financial adviser John Pearson of Barnum Financial Group's Center for College Planning will present ways to ease the process in his talk at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Norwalk Public Library, 1 Belden Ave., Norwalk.

He will discuss financial options, borrowing options, cash flow management and other financial strategies.

Pearson's program is for families of all income levels, "even if they believe they will get zero financial aid. Our experience is that most attendees walk away with good ideas they can use to help fund their child’s college education."
