The tournament will raise money for the non-profit organization More Than Me and Helping Hands of Norwalk High School.

More Than Me is a non-profit that provides access to education for girls in Liberia by building schools, establishing health care services, and offering tuition assistance for secondary education. Helping Hands is a program at Norwalk High School that benefits students in need of financial assistance.

A committee of students and teachers are running the tournament with the help of several local business sponsors within the greater Norwalk community. Last year’s tournament saw 22 teams compete and raised over $14,000 for charity.

Norwalk High first started the charity dodgeball tournament in 2010, when two students decided to raise money for earthquake relief in Haiti. The student-run tournament has seen growing success each year, and has raised more than $55,000 to support charities since its inception.
