Norwalk High Percussion Ensemble Wins Regional Crown, Looks For More

NORWALK, Conn. -- The Norwalk High School Winter Percussion Ensemble won the Music Arts Conference Championship for their class, Scholastic Marching Open, and is competing this weekend in the WGI World Championships in Ohio.

Norwalk scored a season high of 94.500 in the MAC championships as it won its fourth straight title.

The Bears took off by bus for Dayton at 4:30 a.m. Wednesday. They were scheduled to compete in the Preliminary Round on Thursday. Then, depending on how they place, they will perform in the semifinals Friday. The top teams advance to the final Saturday.
