NORWALK, Conn. – Norwalk High School’s field hockey team raised $1,152 for The Smilow Family Breast Health Center at Norwalk Hospital through activities supported by Norwalk High School (NHS) and the NHS Field Hockey Booster Club during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
Funds raised by the field hockey team came through proceeds from concession stand sales, gate entry fees and breast cancer items sold during the NHS field hockey team fundraiser game vs. Staples on Oct. 1.
The team also held a month-long raffle for a Dooney & Bourke pink handbag and from donations collected from Norwalk High School students.
