Glazer has worked at Norwalk Community College since January 2004, where he teaches courses in economics.

The state commission's goal is to analyze the implications of state tax policy on Connecticut’s business and industry and develop policies that promote economic growth.

“It is imperative that Connecticut continue to make smart, targeted investments aimed at creating jobs and implement tax policies that will promote economic growth,” said Duff in a press release.

“Connecticut is great place to live, work and raise a family. We have an excellent quality of life and a talented, educated workforce, which is why companies are hiring our residents. Steve’s background in economics will uniquely position him to help craft innovative growth strategies for this competitive economic climate.”

Glazer is excited to serve on the commission.

“I am honored to be appointed to this commission and applaud Senator Duff and the legislature for acknowledging the importance of addressing the current business climate and the need to promote economic growth for the betterment of all in the state,” said Glazer in a press release.

“Connecticut needs to be recognized as a tax-friendly state for large and small businesses, and this commission can hopefully provide strategies and incentives that will encourage businesses to remain in Connecticut as well as encourage businesses to relocate to Connecticut.”
