Norwalk Community College Offers Free Tax Preparation Services

NORWALK, Conn. -- Starting Saturday, Jan. 24, Norwalk Community College will offer free tax preparation and filing services for taxpayers with incomes below $49,000 for the 2015 tax season.

This service will be provided by the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Preparation Program. IRS-certified NCC student volunteers will be on hand to assist taxpayers in the Student Success Center, adjacent to the East Campus Atrium.

Volunteers will work with taxpayers on both state and federal returns.

VITA Advising Session Dates and Times are as follows:

  • Saturdays: Jan. 24 through April 11, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., West Campus Room W138 and Room 140
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays: Jan. 27 through April 14, from 7 to 9 p.m., East Campus Student Success Center.

Those seeking help in filing their returns should bring appropriate tax records and identification with them.
