The program is largely an online effort, given its 24-hour duration and overnight aspects.

NCCF encourages NCC staff, faculty and students as well as families and friends to contribute funds during this 24-hour period. All monies collected will go to the Student Emergency Fund.

Program volunteers will be on campus (East and West) for posted hours during the busiest activity periods -- likely from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. -- to encourage staff, faculty and students to walk up to the tables to contribute.

Contributions will be accepted digitally anytime during the 24-hour period.

The NCC Foundation is hoping to encourage a viral component this year, with notification and outreach starting earlier in the week to get people “prepped” to respond on March 10.

Plans are to engage student government and clubs to help spread the word and generate the maximum amount to support the NCC student body in need.

Fairfield County's Giving Day is a 24-hour online fundraising competition that unites the community around local causes. Last year, on this day, $1,066,091 was donated by 13,161 individuals for 386 nonprofits, all serving Fairfield County.
