Located on Crescent Street in the heart of South Norwalk, Columbus is an intra-district public magnet school that serves students from kindergarten to eighth grade.

More than 40 Inspira staffers, family, former employees and friends joined forces with the Columbus parent volunteers for a day filled with brush and litter removal, mulching, painting fencing and benches, and creating the soccer field.

In addition to serving the students, the school also actively works with the neighborhood kids who frequent use the playgrounds and fields.

The Inspira day of service completed a long list of "to-do" items that the parents and administration wanted to address, to both beautify and improve functionality.

"For Inspira, giving back to the community that's been headquarters for their growing agency for more than eight years is not a one-time event: it's part of their culture and their commitment to causes that make a difference," organizers said.

Inspira CEO Jeff Snyder provides employees numerous opportunities to serve others.
