Fairfield Warde Senior Wins Norwalk Youth Symphony Competition

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Ankit Anil, a violist in his senior year at Fairfield Warde High School, won the Norwalk Youth Symphony’s Annual Concerto Competition for Instrumentalists.

Currently principal violist of the Norwalk Youth Symphony’s Principal Orchestra, Anil has performed with the All-National Honors Orchestra at The Kennedy Center and has been a participant in several town- and state-wide Honors Ensembles.

Anil has been a part of the 2012 ARIA International Music Academy and the 2013 Foulger International Music Festival.

He serves as a student board member of Chamber Music Central of Westport and as a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society.

Anil also won the 2013 Eastman Award from the University of Rochester's Eastman School of Music as well as the Fairfield Warde High School’s Senior Concerto Competition.
