The Brien McMahon Parents Club wants your old clothes and other household items. A clothing drive will be held at the school Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Parents Club is collecting coats, ties, gloves, belts, handbags, linens, pillows, towels, sheets, backpacks, briefcases, stuffed animals, shoes and boots. All clothing should be in plastic bags (shoes & boots should be bagged separately) and brought to the front parking lot of BMHS. [breakhere]According to Suzy Aubrey, the parent coordinator of the drive, the Parents Club works with Fashion Republic , an organization that collects clothing and distributes it internationally to countries in need. The clothing drive, held every fall and spring, can raise as much as $1,200, which is used to fund enrichment programs. "The school will be paid by the pound of clothing, so bring as much as you've got! " says Aubrey. For information, call (203) 852-0388.
