Bus driver Robert Story drove a total of six routes in Wednesday's storm, three in the morning and three in the afternoon. "The roads are bad, especially the side roads," he said as he finished his last run of the day at 2 p.m. Norwalk Public Schools had a two-hour early dismissal as a result of Wednesday's storm.
Tom Jakah, a first-grader at Marvin Elementary School, was picked up at a Triangle Street bus stop by his grandfather, Pashk Jakah. "My grandfather always picks me up," Tom said.
Jeremiah Harris, a fifth-grader at Marvin, didn't even put down his backpack before he started playing in the snow in front of his house. Jeremiah's older brother, Lester, a seventh-grader at Nathan Hale was already home shoveling the walkway. "I'm happy about the early dismissal and the snow days," said Lester. "I get more time to study for my test and try for 100 percent."
How did you manage the early dismissal?
