Students from St. Ann Academy, New Beginnings Family Academy, John Winthrop Elementary and James J. Curiale schools have entries in the 19th International Children’s Art Exhibit, presented by Creative Connections of Norwalk now through Sept. 1. The exhibit is free at the aquarium.
The drawings and paintings were created by children in grades 3-12. Pieces are included from 20 countries, including Uganda, Nigeria, Japan, Jordan, Cyprus, Russia, China, Sri Lanka and Brazil. Children from Connecticut – including dozens from schools in Fairfield County – are equally represented.
Entries by the Bridgeport students are:
• New Beginnings Family Academy – Sierra Flores (“Day at the Beach”) and Janavia Decoito (“Thanksgiving”).
• John Winthrop Elementary – Kylie Zanning (“Relaxing with Friends”), Imani Hines (“Family Barbecue”) and Lichel Johnston (“The Merry Christmas”).
• James J. Curiale School – Natasha Blake (“A Bus”) and Aalisyha Barreto (“Playful • St. Ann Academy – Richard Kerstetter (“A Friendly Game of Baseball”).
