Author Of Book On A Year In A Norwalk School To Speak At Fairfield Library

FAIRFIELD, Conn -- Journalist Ron Berler, who has spent his career reporting on youth issues, will talk about the current state of learning in America at the Fairfield Library.

The program takes place at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 19, in the Rotary Room at the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road. 

Included in Berler's discussion will be the controversies regarding testing and the key role parental involvement plays in children’s academic success. Berler is the author of "Raising the Curve," the chronicle of a year he spent in a public school fifth-grade classroom in Norwalk.
