After-School Activities Canceled In Norwalk Due To Heat

NORWALK, Conn. — Due to the very high temperatures expected Tuesday, Norwalk public schools have canceled after-school activities at 11 buildings.

The after-school cancellations are at Nathan Hale, Ponus Ridge, Roton, West Rocks, Cranbury, Kendall, Naramake, Rowayton, Silvermine, Tracey and Wolfpit.

Students are on a previously scheduled two-hour early dismissal on Tuesday and Wednesday, which is the last day of school. (Students were also released early on Monday at those 11 buildings.)

Temps are expected to soar again today into the low 90s. 

The Brien McMahon High School Graduation will go on as planned from 6 to 8 p.m. today on the field. 

The Norwalk High School Graduation is set for 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday on the field.
