NORWALK, Conn. — Due to the very high temperatures expected Tuesday, Norwalk public schools have canceled after-school activities at 11 buildings.
Did Norwalk schools make the right choice by holding early dismissals in the heat?
Yes, it's awfully hot
No, the kids would survive just fine
I'm not sure — how hot is it in a classroom?
The after-school cancellations are at Nathan Hale, Ponus Ridge, Roton, West Rocks, Cranbury, Kendall, Naramake, Rowayton, Silvermine, Tracey and Wolfpit.
Students are on a previously scheduled two-hour early dismissal on Tuesday and Wednesday, which is the last day of school. (Students were also released early on Monday at those 11 buildings.)
Temps are expected to soar again today into the low 90s.
The Brien McMahon High School Graduation will go on as planned from 6 to 8 p.m. today on the field.
