Duncan’s Blue Lantern on Valley View Drive in Bath has called it quits after eight years, according to an announcement made Saturday on its website and Facebook pages.

The restaurant was known for its all-American classics like homemade burgers, hotdogs and chicken wings, as well as its sweet treats like ice cream and milkshakes.

“Hello Friends. Duncan’s Blue Lantern is closed,” the message says. “Thank you for eight great years.”

“All the best.”

The restaurant owner’s son shared similar sentiments on Blue Lantern’s Facebook page:

“Hello everyone, this is Chris,” the post says.

“Working with dad these last 8 years I have learned a lot [and] made a lot of things. I just wanted to say thank you.”

Other top burger spots in the area include Red Wolf Bar and Grille (201 W Main St.) and Turn In Restaurant (162 N Walnut St.).
