US Marshals Arrest Teen Fugitive In Camden Shopping Center Shooting

A 19-year-old fugitive from Gloucester County has been arrested in connection with last week's shooting at a shopping center, authorities said.

One person was fatally shot in the Family Dollar parking lot on South Black Horse Pike around 5:50 p.m. on Thursday, according to Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Gloucester Township Police Chief David Harkins.

Jose L. Rios Jr., 19, of Gloucester Township was charged with murder and weapons-related offenses, Mayer and Harkins said. Surveillance footage was used to help identify Rios, they said.

Police identified the shooting victim as 36-year-old Mark Dodaro of Gloucester Township. Dodaro was taken to a nearby hospital with a gunshot wouind, where he was pronounced dead.

Rios was located in Washington Township in Gloucester County on Friday and he was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force – Camden Division, authorities said.

He was being held in the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a detention hearing.
