Police discovered a “grenade and fused pipe bomb” in a Harding Street apartment that had been made to look like they would explode if someone opened the back door, according to the Worcester Telegram & Gazette.

On Wednesday, Sept. 9, Worcester and State police executed a search warrant that resulted in the temporary evacuation of 85 Harding St., an apartment complex. Police had everyone leave the building when they discovered what looked like “bomb-making” material. Police now know the items were fake.

The search was conducted in relation to the arrest of two men: David Dolan, 38, and Weah Wisner, 33, both of Worcester on drug and firearms charges, police said.
